Thank you for visiting my website.  Born and raised in San Francisco with every intention of living my entire life in the City by the Bay!  But that all changed when I married my soulmate, Mickey Hayes.
FromWeatherford Texas born on his family's dairy farm in the same bed as his dad.  At a young age he worked the farm learning the skills from his Uncle Bud and his grandmother, (he called her Mama).  Mickey always said if he had any good quailities he learned them from Uncle Bud and Mama.
If you were lucky enough to know Mickey you knew he had many great qualities.  He was a successful business owner who loved his work and loved connecting with people.  But his passion was always to own a ranch with at least a thousand acres, he couldn't tell you why, he just knew he had to have it!  In 1997 we purchased his dream and called it the Double H Ranch.
Everyday up at 7 working his land until late in the evening.  Always on one of his many tractors moving dirt, leveling the ground for our dream home, creating trails, clearing and leveling sites for the arenas and building corrals.  He loved restoring the hundred year old cabins built by the Walters (the original owners), and when there was nothing left to restore he built his own cabins!  Even after his illness, you could find him on his tractor, oxygen tank and all!
The Ranch was never bought for profit, Mickey simply wanted to live his dream, improving the property, create a safe haven for the wildlife and to have fun!  He always called the Ranch our little slice of heaven.  For over twenty years we did just that, we had fun!  I will always be grateful for the life we shared and for every improvement he made to our Ranch, our Home, our little slice of heaven.
What's that saying?...."All good things most come to an end."  Mickey fought the good fight but lost the battle November 2017.
He always said, "Patricia, we have no excuse for owning a thousand acre ranch if we're not willing to share it with others."
To honor my wise husband I've opened the Ranch for you to enjoy, to explore and see all that Mickey created.  I hope you come to love the Ranch and make it your annual family vacation, family reunion, your son or daughter's picturesque wedding spot, your annual business retreat or just to have fun.
I could go on forever about the Ranch but it is said....a picture is worth a thousand words.  Enjoy the 5 galleries of pictures and see for yourself.
